PANTHER DISTRICT 5th ANNUAL - TASTE OF SCOUTING
Southwest Florida Conference Center

Panther District will hold the Taste of Scouting in 2020 with a modified format.  The Taste of Scouting is a Dutch oven/camp stove cook-off to see who makes the best Scout dish.  In 2020, the Taste of Scouting will also give Troops the Opportunity to promote themselves to Webelos Scouts from around the District.  Please review the Leader Guide for more details on the cooking competition and other need to know information.

Check-in begins at 9:00 AM

Scouts BSA Troops may invite members from a Pack to attend with them (but should register them as attending with the Troop).

4th and 5th grade Webelos Scouts and their families are invited to attend and be the judges of the competition.  There is no need to register to attend for this.
If the Webelos Scouts are attending with a Troop, they should register with the Troop.

A health screening and temperature check will be conducted prior to any participant or guest entering the parking.  CDC, State and County COVID 19 recommendations and ordinances for camps and public buildings will be followed during this event (including social distancing and the wearing of face coverings).

Cancellation Policy
Event Cancellation Policy: Once registration fees have been paid, an individual may become ill or otherwise be unable to attend an event. As the event has already incurred expenses related to the activity such as program supplies, ins., food, patches, etc., event fees are non-refundable & non-transferable. An exception will be made ONLY if a request is received in writing or email (not phone) and submitted to the Southwest Florida Council Office by the individual no less than 72 hours before the date of the event. In most cases, only a partial refund can be made. Refunds for inclement weather will be made only if the event is cancelled. No refunds will be given on the Event Processing Convenience Fee.
