Wood Badge is the advanced leadership training program for adult leaders of the Boy Scouts of America. Building on the past, understanding the present, and looking to the future, Wood Badge for the 21st Century stands ready to provide leadership for Scouting and leadership for America.
The Wood Badge for the 21st Century course brings together leaders from all areas of Scouting--Cub Scouting, Boy Scouting, Varsity Scouting, and Venturing--and all levels of Boy Scouts of America professional staff. Participants in Wood Badge for the 21st Century attend a course offered as two sessions of three days each scheduled over two weekends. Leaders must apply the concepts studied and the skills learned to improving the Scouting unit, District or program in which they currently serve. This is your "ticket" to receiving the Wood Badge beads.
Who can attend?
1. Registered adult leaders
2. Adults who have completed the basic training courses for their Scouting positions.
3. Completed the outdoor skills training programs appropriate for their Scouting positions.
4. Be capable of functioning safely in an outdoor environment. Successful completion of the BSA physical is required for all participants. A copy of your health form is due at CAMP CHECK-IN.
What is the cost?
The cost is $240 per participant. The is a $90 non-refundable deposit due at the time of registration. The cost includes all course supplies, 2 t-shirts, hat, patch and all meals. Registration is limited to the first 48 participants. ALL fees are due by January 23, 2016.
