SPECIAL OPPORTUNITY FOR SCOUTS BSA!
MINING IN SOCIETY AND GEOLOGY MERIT BADGES

Cemex, Inc. is offering this special opportunity for Scouts BSA to earn the Mining in Society and Geology merit badges.
The staff will provide a tour of the mine, and go over the daily operations relating to the merit badges.  There is no cost for this and lunch will be provided.  Space for this unique opportunity to this limited to 25.

Transportation will be provided by Cemex to and from their Alico Quarry site.  NO personal vehicles are allowed to drive to the facility; so be on time.

Pick Up / Drop Off:  Bass Pro Shops parking lot
                                10040 Gulf Center Dr., Fort Myers, 33913
Bus pick up:  8:30am
Bus drop off: 2:45pm

Requirements:

1.  MUST wear lace-up, close-toed shoes (tennis shoes/boots) NO crocs, Hey Dudes or sandals.
2.  Must wear pants (no shorts, skirts or skorts).

3. Please download and complete the attached photo release form. This will be collected when you check-in.

4. Lunch will be provided for everyone in attendance.  If you have special dietary requirements, bring it with you.

5.  You may want to bring a water bottle, something to write with and maybe a hat.
