Save the date to join us on Saturday, April 11th to recognize and thank YOU - our great Scouting volunteers. We appreciate your efforts and the difference you are making in the lives of our youth and we are haveing a dinner to say THANK YOU!

The dinner will be held at 6 p.m. at the LDS church building located at 3350 W. Alexander Rd in Las Vegas. The building is located across the street from Cheyenne High School. The event will feature key note speaker Mayor John Lee of North Las Vegas City.

You can register online or in person at the Council office. Early registration cost per person is $20. A late registration fee of $5 per person will be assessed after April 5th.

Dinner will be catered by Trailhound Smokers BBQ LLC and will include your choice of three meats (you  can also choose all three(: including: flavorful pulled pork or beef, tender beef brisket, and tasty BBQ chicken. Enjoy two sides of trailhound baked beans and house favorite, southwestern cream corn.

In preparation for the dinner please take an opporutnity to nominate great leaders you work with and your scouting heroes for the various awards noted below. Simply click on the hyperlink for the award and recongition forms. Please turn all forms into Ray Jacobson at raysue4@msn.com or to Graham Allen at graham.allen@scouting.org by March 24th.

All those nominated for the Spark Plug, Super Spouse, and Super Couple award will be recongized and thanked. A committee will convene following March 25th to review nominees and select candidates for the District Award of Merit. We will give one District Award of Merit for every 25 units. Nominees will be notified by March 31st if they have received the award. Thanks!

- District Award of Merit (This is a nationally recognized award and the highest individual recognition award that can be earned on the district level.)

- Spark Plug Award (Who is the spark plug in your Unit that makes a difference to keep Scouting running)

- Super Spouse Award (We all know that a supportive partner and spouse makes a significant difference in our ability to serve youth in Scouting! Take an opportunity to thank your spouse! Take them to a great dinner (a night out), and let us say thank you to them!

- Super Couple Award (Scouting builds families. Who is that couple that uses Scouting to grow closer together, strenghten their family and help our kids?)

Dinner will be held in the main gymnasium and guests will be seated in tables of eight. The event will be decorated and themed "On My Honor, I Will DO MY BEST". Come dressed in full Scout uniform or executive business.
