REGISTRATION OPENS AUGUST 31, 2022 AT 9:00 AM

Enjoy winter break with your troop, crew or as a provisional camper.  The Southwest Florida Council Winter Camp experience at Camp Miles offers a fun way to advance in Scouting.

 



Space is limited to the first 350 Scouts and leaders.

A $50 NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT PER CAMPER IS DUE AT ONLINE REGISTRATION.
REGISTRATION CLOSES 12/2/2022

ALL PAYMENTS ARE DUE 12/2/2022.  Payments not made by 12/2/22 are subject to a $10/person late fee.

BE AWARE - THE REGISTRATION SYSTEM HAS A FEATURE WHICH WILL AUTOMATICALLY CHARGE THE BALANCE ON THE DAY IT IS DUE UNLESS IT IS UNCHECKED.

Troops/Crews with more than three Scouts attending Winter Camp must register as a unit and may not attend as provisional campers.

You MUST be attending with other youth and adults from your unit to register as Youth (with Troop).

ARROW OF LIGHT SCOUTS WHO ARE CROSSING OVER TO SCOUTS BSA NEED TO REGISTER WITH THEIR TROOP - NOT AS A PROVISIONAL CAMPER, UNLESS THE TROOP IS NOT ATTENDING.
ARROW OF LIGHT SCOUTS MUST BE REGISTERED AS A MEMBER OF A SCOUTS BSA TROOP BEFORE THE START OF WINTER CAMP.

PROGRAM
Merit Badges:
  Over 40 offered, including challenging Eagle required badges. NEW for the 2022 Season: Signs, Signals and Codes, Kayaking, Soil and Water Conservation, Salesmanship, and Health Care Professionals.
Shooting Sports:  .22 Rifle Shooting, Muzzle Loading Rifle Shooting, Shotgun Shooting, Archery, 3D Action Archery Course and much more.
Aquatics:  Swimming, Sailing, Canoeing, Kayaking, Motor Boating, Snorkeling, and Mile Swim. 

Scoutcraft:  Fire Building, Pioneering, Orienteering, Dutch Oven Cooking, Wilderness Survival and much more.
Project C.O.P.E.:  Team building on the low course and adventure 40 feet in the air on the high ropes course.  by appointment only.  Minimum 20 campers, extra fee may apply.
50 Foot Climbing Tower:  Rock Climbing on six challenging routes. Learn the skill of rappelling.

SPECIALTY PROGRAM
Renegade Program (Older Scout Challenge):  Three full-day adventures including Aviation Merit Badge instruction with an orientation flight in a private plane with a FAA certified instructor,  a one-day shooting sports experience (Shotgun, Rifle, Black Powder, 3D Archery, Tomahawks) and a one-day Discover SCUBA experience.
SCUBA: NAUI Discover SCUBA program offered daily.
First Year Camper Program: Complete many requirements for the Tenderfoot.  Learn the basics of the Patrol Method.
Second Year Camper Program: Complete many Second Class and First Class rank requirements in a patrol method environment.

CAMP STAFF OPPORTUNITIES
Interested in being a camp staff team member? There are a few positions still available. All staff members must be 15 years of age or older. Staff development training will take place on the following two weekends:

December 9 - 11, 2022
December 16 - 18, 2022

Attendance at these two weekends is mandatory for all those who wish to serve on camp staff. Please complete a staff application and e-mail to Gus Fruauff at: SWFLActivityReg088@gmail.com.

Pursuant to Florida State Law, SWFL Council will collect all bank fees incurred on returned checks plus a service charge of $25 if the face value does not exceed $50; $30 if the face value exceeds $50 but does not exceed $300; $40 if the face value exceeds $300; or 5 percent of the face value of the payment instrument, whichever is greater.

Cancellation Policy
Event Cancellation Policy: Once registration fees have been paid, an individual may become ill or otherwise be unable to attend an event. As the event has already incurred expenses related to the activity such as program supplies, ins., food, patches, etc., event fees are non-refundable & non-transferable. An exception will be made ONLY if a request is received in writing or email (not phone) and submitted to the Southwest Florida Council Office by the individual no less than 72 hours before the date of the event. In most cases, only a partial refund can be made. Refunds for inclement weather will be made only if the event is cancelled. No refunds will be given on the Event Processing Fee.
