The International Game Fish Association will be presenting one hour seminars several times during the day. These clinics will be geared toward the beginning angler, age 6 to 16. There will be no cost for these clinics. These seminars are for Scouts, Scouters and non-Scouters alike.
Some of the topics covered will include:
- Introduction to IGFA, their purposes and goals.
- Discussion of fishing equipment, including the various types of rods and reels, lines and tackle. There will also be a discussion of how the equipment is used.
- Basic knots are discussed and taught. All participants will have a chance to tie each knot.
- Fishing ethics are discussed, including proper catch and release rechniques. This will include correct fish handling methods, hot to measure a fish, and how to properly remove a hook without injuring the fish.
- Finally, fishing safety and Florida fishing regulations will be discussed.

Children under 10 years of age must be supervised by an adult.
