Logon Changes for Organizations Using Site Brander Menus for Navigation

As you know, we recently changed the way that URLs are resolved.  These changes improve site analytics and provide better tracking data by ensuring that links to your pages are correctly indexed in search engines like Google.

As a result of these enhancements, the logon procedure has changed for organizations using Site Brander menus to navigate and perform administrative functions on their web site. To ensure that you have full access to all of Doubleknot's features, please do not log on at www.doubleknot.com.  Instead, point your web browser at myorg.doubleknot.com, where "myorg" is the domain root for your organization.

To make sure that your staff logs on correctly, we suggest the following:

  • Make sure that your staff bookmarks myorg.doubleknot.com for their logon, so they don't use www.doubleknot.com anymore by mistake.
  • Using Site Brander, add a logon button to your web site.  When staff use this button to log on at your site, the correct administrator features will automatically be displayed.

New Feature: Customize the “Keep Shopping” Link for Your Site

The “Keep Shopping” link displayed to customers on the Shopping Cart summary page can be configured to display any page on your site. For example, you can use the “Keep Shopping” link to direct customers to your online store, an events page, a donations page, or anywhere else on your site that offers opportunities your customers should know about. Best Practices: Use Registrant Attributes to Gather Registrant Information

Do you need to gather more information about registrants than name, phone number, and email address? The Registrant Attributes feature makes it easy to add more than 20 common data entry fields to your event registration.

The Registrant Attributes fields are displayed to your customers in the Add New Participants window. You can choose which Registrant Attributes fields will be displayed, and whether the information is optional or required. And, if your event is configured for different registrant types, you can assign different Registrant Attributes to gather different information from each type of registrant.

Before you build a custom form, check Registrant Attributes to see if the information you need is already supported there! To access Registrant Attributes for an event, follow these steps:

  1. Display the Manage Events page for the event.
  2. At the left, click Registrant Attributes. The Registrant Attributes page will be displayed.
