Our new and improved events and reservations calendars are set to roll out next week! New features include:
- Improved legibility: The sleek new visual design is easier to read and navigate on any kind of device.
- Color-coding: On the Create and Edit pages for events and facilities, you can assign a color to the event or facility that will be displayed on the calendar.
- Multi-day support: If an event or reservation is for more than one day, the calendar will show the items spanning multiple days. In the image below, the Night at the Museum Sleepover event spans Saturday night to Sunday morning.
- Categories on the public calendar: Visitors to your web site can use the Categories menu to show only the kinds of events that they’re interested in.
- List and Calendar View: Visitors and staff can display a month of calendar information in a list view or in the regular calendar view. To change to the list view from the calendar view, click List at the upper right. To return to the calendar view, click Calendar.
- Responsive mobile design: If a visitor displays the calendar on a mobile device, the calendar will automatically adjust to the best view for the size of the screen. For example, on most smartphones, the calendar will display the List view when the phone is held in portrait mode and automatically adjust to the Calendar view when the phone is held in landscape mode.
- Exporting calendar data: Visitors and staff can export calendar data to the industry-standard .csv and iCalendar .ics format. To view export options, click … at the top right of the calendar.

You can choose which organizations are included in the calendar and whether visitors can select other organizations in the Event Configuration item in the Event Managements Utilities tab.
The administrative facilities and reservations calendar have also been updated. New features for logged-on Doubleknot administrators include pop-up information about any reservation when you click the item in the calendar.
