Getting Ready to Use Sales Station Mobile

We are pleased to announce that Sales Station Mobile will be available soon! So that your organization can start using Sales Station Mobile as quickly as possible, follow these steps to make sure that you have the correct equipment and other prerequisites.

1. Order your secure card readers.

To guarantee the best security possible, Sales Station Mobile only works with secure card reader authenticators that are specially configured for Doubleknot by Magtek, Inc.

You must purchase your secure card reader(s) directly from Magtek using this order form.
The following Magtek iDynamo secure card reader authenticators can be used with Sales Station Mobile:

  • iDynamo 5 for iPads with a Lightning connection. Click here for more information. 
  • iDynamo for iPads with a 30-pin connection. Click here for more information.
  • cDynamo enclosure for iPad Mini, iPad Air and iPad Air 2. Click here for more information.

2. Optional: Order Bluetooth Ticket Scanner(s)

Sales Station Mobile supports scanning and validating Doubleknot-issued tickets. The functionality is similar to the Doubleknot Checkin for iOS app. If you’re using the same iPad for sales and event check-in, the Bluetooth scanner allows you to scan tickets without switching over to the checkin app.

Sales Station Mobile’s check-in features are compatible with all 2D scanners by Socket Mobile. Supported scanners include:

  • Socket Mobile CHS 7Qi - 2D / 1D Imager Barcode Scanner (multiple color options)
  • Socket Mobile CHS 7Xi & 7XiRX - 2D / 1D Imager Barcode Scanner (durable)

Only Socket Mobile Bluetooth scanners that support 2D imaging are supported. Socket Mobile scanners are available directly from Socket Mobile as well as from many vendors. For more information, visit Socket Mobile at https://www.socketmobile.com.

3. If You Plan to Send Mobile Receipts by SMS, Create a Google Voice Account.

Sales Station Mobile can send receipts to customers as an SMS text message. The text message can contain a link to display tickets on the customer’s smartphone.

To use Doubleknot’s SMS receipt feature, you must create a Google Voice account. Follow the steps at https://www.google.com/voice to create an account and phone number for your organization. We will request information about your Google Voice account during the setup process.

4. Let Us Know!

Send an email to Doubleknot@doubleknot.com requesting access to Sales Station Mobile. Be sure to include your contact information. We’ll let you know when your organization is configured to use Sales Station Mobile.

5. Check Your iPad iOS

Sales Station Mobile is designed to work with any iPad using iOS 8 or later. If your iPads use an older version of iOS, upgrade them to iOS8 or later.

6. Download the Sales Station Mobile App for iPads

The Doubleknot Sales Station Mobile app for iPads has been submitted to the Apple Store. We'll let you know as soon as it’s approved.
