SECURITY NEWS: Doubleknot Not Affected by Heartbleed Vulnerability

Doubleknot’s systems are not vulnerable to the Heartbleed security bug that was identified this week. Only sites that use OpenSSL are affected by Heartbleed. Because Doubleknot doesn’t use OpenSSL, none of our clients or services are impacted.

BEST PRACTICE: Thoroughly Test Events Before Opening Registration

You should always thoroughly test every aspect of your events before you take them out of Test Mode and make them available to the public. Testing allows you to identify and fix configuration issues, procedures, and content issues so that visitors to your web site have a seamless and professional registration experience

The user guides and online help for Creating and Editing Calendar Activity Events and Creating and Editing Programs contain detailed information about how to test event configuration. To view all available user guides, click User Manuals at the bottom of the Administer panel.

Information about testing is also available in the following user briefs:
  • Testing Calendar Activity Events
  • Testing Program Configuration
If you have any questions about how to test your programs and calendar activity events, contact us at Doubleknot@doubleknot.com.
