COMING SOON: Applying Payments to Specific Items on an Order
We are enhancing the Adjust Balance page to enable you to apply payments, refunds, and other debits or credits to specific items on the order. For example, if a customer registered for two events that are several months apart and they make a payment that only covers the amount due for the first event, you will be able to apply the payment directly to the first event so that the customer meets their obligations and doesn’t incur any late fees. This feature will roll out in April.
On the new Adjust Balance page, you can apply payments, refunds, and other debits and credits to specific items in the order.
BEST PRACTICE: Setting Up Event Registrant Ratios
If you set up an event to support different types of registrants, you can choose how many registrants of one type are required for each registrant of another type. For example, for a scouting event, you might require that one leader be registered for every ten troop members.
Registrant ratios are set in the following format:

To set registrant ratios, follow these steps:
- Decide how many registrant of one type are required for how many registrants of another type.
- At the Manage Events page for the event, click Registrant Ratios. The Manage Registrant Ratios page will be displayed.
- In the Require __ Registrants field, enter the number of registrants that are the first part of the ratio
- In the first Registrant(s) of Type window, select the type of registrant for the first part of the ratio.
- In the For Every __ Registrant(s) field, enter the number of registrants that are the second part of the ratio sentence
- In the second Registrant(s) of Type window, select the type of registrant for the second part of the ratio.
- To save the registrant ratio you just created, click Save.
- To add another registrant ratio, click *New* at the top of the Manage Registrant Ratio section, and follow steps 1-7.
- When you’re finished adding registrant ratios, click Done.
