Since 1871, a major objective of the National Rifle Association has been to provide education and training in the safe and proper use of firarms. Knowing how to shoot is an important requirement for NRA instructors, but you will also need to know how to teach others to shoot. NRA Instructor Training Courses help you develop the addional knowledge, skills and techniques needed to organize and teach courses in the NRA Basic Firearm Training program.
Courses are open to the public, non-Scouter and Scouter alike. You must be an adult 21 years of age or older to take these courses. All courses are held at Price-Sanders Scout Reservation in Punta Gorda, Florida.
You may register on line or by downloading the fillable application and mailing it in. Simply click on the course below and you will be redirected to the activity date page to register. There are also additional forms that must be turned in that are included with the application.
